Foreign nationals who intend to visit India for commercial, professional, or business-related activities should apply for a Business Visa. This visa is designed for non-resident individuals seeking to explore business opportunities, engage in trade or industry-related discussions, attend meetings, or conduct other permitted business functions.

Applicants must strictly follow the purpose stated in their visa application. Misuse or deviation from the declared intent can result in legal action or deportation.

  • Businesspersons exploring or establishing a business venture in India (excluding proprietorship and partnership firms).

Key Visa Guidelines

  • A valid passport (minimum 6 months validity) is mandatory at the time of application.
  • Visa validity begins from the date of issue, not from the travel date.
  • An interview and additional documents may be required for long-term (1 year or more) visas.
  • Biometric data (fingerprint & facial photo) is mandatory for 5-year or long-term visas.
  • The visa is not valid for employment in India. Those working for Indian companies must apply for an Employment Visa.
  • Business Visa holders must register with FRRO/FRO if their stay exceeds 180 days in a calendar year.

  5. Visit Du Digital ICAC: Visit the designated ICAC (as per your jurisdiction). The address and location will be mentioned in your appointment letter. Ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time.
  6. Submit Your Application & Pay Fees: Submit your documents and pay the applicable fees at ICAC. Refer to the Fee Details section for exact charges.
  7. Enroll for Biometrics (if required): Complete biometric enrollment if applicable.
  8. Application Submission Complete: You’ve successfully submitted your visa application.
