What Happens at the Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\nOn the Day of Your Appointment:<\/strong>
\nPlease arrive at the ICAC 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Timely arrival helps ensure a smooth experience.

\n\nMandatory Personal Attendance:<\/strong>
\nAll applicants must attend in person for services related to visa, passport, or consular matters. No third-party submissions are allowed (except in permitted cases).

\n\nAccompanying Persons:<\/strong>
\nOnly the applicant is allowed entry unless:\n
    \n
  • The applicant is a minor under 18 (one parent\/guardian may accompany).<\/li>\n
  • The applicant requires physical assistance or medical support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>

    \nThe Indian Consular Application Centre provides a range of services, including:

    • e-Visa guidance and document verification<\/li>\n
    • Biometric enrolment (as required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>
      \n\nPassport Services:<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Passport renewal or reissue<\/li>\n
      • Lost\/Damaged passport applications<\/li>\n
      • Change of particulars (name\/address\/date of birth)<\/li>\n<\/ul>
        \n\nConsular Services:<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Surrender of Indian Passport<\/li>\n
        • Renunciation of Indian Citizenship<\/li>\n
        • Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)<\/li>\n
        • Attestation and other consular certifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>
          \n\nDocuments to Carry:<\/strong>\n

          • You must bring the following documents based on your application category:<\/li>\n
          • Printed application form (with 2D barcode) \u2013 2 copies<\/li>\n
          • Passport bio page \u2013 1 copy<\/li>\n
          • Valid passport or travel document with at least 3 blank pages<\/li>\n
          • All supporting documents (originals and photocopies)<\/li>\n
          • Applicable fee receipt, if already paid online<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nIf you miss your appointment, you can reschedule after 24 hours.

            \n\nBiometrics (Visa Applications Only):<\/strong>\n
              \n
            • Biometric enrolment is required for most visa applications<\/li>\n
            • A digital scanner will capture fingerprints (10 fingers) and a photograph<\/li>\n<\/ul>
              \n\nImportant Biometric Guidelines:<\/strong>\n
                \n
              • Face must be fully visible; no sunglasses, tinted glasses, or non-religious headgear<\/li>\n
              • Fingers must be free of henna (mehndi), ink, or cuts<\/li>\n
              • Postpone your visit if you have temporary finger injuries<\/li>\n<\/ul>
                \n\nBiometric Exemptions:<\/strong>
                \nBiometric data is not required for:\n
                  \n
                • Children under 5 years<\/li>\n
                • Applicants under 14 years (for fingerprints)<\/li>\n
                • Applicants who are physically unable to provide fingerprints (medical proof needed)<\/li>\n
                • Heads of State or government officials on official visits (and their spouses\/official delegations)<\/li>\n<\/ul>

                  • Random bag searches may be conducted for safety<\/li>\n
                  • Please be respectful. Any abuse or intimidation towards staff is not tolerated<\/li>\n
