\u2013 36 Pages\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1><p><b>Overview:<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Indian Passports are generally issued with a validity of <\/span>10 years<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for adults and\u00a0<\/span>5 years<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for children up to the age of 15 years. Upon expiry, or when certain conditions apply, a <\/span>new passport must be obtained<span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as part of the re-issue process.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The practice of handwritten endorsements for changes in personal particulars (such as name, address, or appearance) is no longer followed.
