Police Clearance Certificate

For Indian Passport Holders:

A Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is issued to individuals holding an Indian passport who require the document for the following purposes:

  • Residency applications in a foreign country
  • Employment or long-term visa processing
  • Immigration requirements
  • Any long-term stay abroad

PCC serves as proof that the applicant has no criminal record during their stay in India and is a necessary requirement for several countries before granting long-term status.

For Foreign Nationals:

Foreign nationals who have previously stayed in India for employment, studies, or residency can apply for a PCC to cover that specific period.

They must provide:

  • Details of their stay in India
  • Indian visa copies and entry/exit immigration stamps
  • Proof of registration with FRRO, university, or residential accommodation
  • Other supporting documents as per the Documents Checklist

Note: Old passport shall be cancelled by the Embassy and cannot be used for travel once application for reissue is accepted.

How To Apply

  1. Create an Account: Register on the Du Digital Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website. Click here to register.
  2. Fill Out the Government Application Form: Click here to access the form.
  3. Book an Appointment: Schedule your visit to Du Digital ICAC by choosing a suitable date and time. Click here to book your appointment
  4. Prepare Your Documents: Carry your passport, photographs, and all supporting documents as listed in the Documents Checklist section.
  5. Visit Du Digital ICAC: Visit the designated ICAC. The address and location will be mentioned in your appointment letter. Ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time.
  6. Submit Your Application & Pay Fees: Submit your documents and pay the applicable fees at ICAC. Refer to the Fee Details section for exact charges.
  7. Enroll for Biometrics (if required): Complete biometric enrollment if applicable.
  8. Application Submission Complete: You’ve successfully submitted your application.

Documents Checklist for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC):

For Indian Nationals:

  1. Fill out the PCC application form online at passport portal and print the submitted form for reference.
  2. One additional form to be downloaded.
    Download Form.
  3. Original passport and a photocopy (all relevant pages including visa/residence permit).
  4. Valid visa or Alien Registration Card (ARC) in South Korea.
  5. Three recent passport-size photographs (2 inch x 2 inch, white background).
  6. Proof of current address in South Korea (Anmeldung / Utility bill / Lease agreement).
  7. Request Letter stating the reason for applying for PCC.
  8. In some cases, fingerprints may be required (as per Indian authorities’ request).

If the report is adverse, you must contact the police authorities in India directly.
