Overview:

An Emergency Certificate (EC) is an official document issued by the Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) in South Korea to an Indian national for one-way travel to India in case of non-availability of a valid passport with the applicant (due to loss, damage or expiry) and where a new passport cannot be issued immediately.

How To Apply

  1. Create an Account: Register on the Du Digital Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website.

  3. Book an Appointment: Schedule your visit to Du Digital ICAC by choosing a suitable date and time.

  4. Prepare Your Documents: Carry your passport, photographs, and all supporting documents as listed in the
    Documents Checklist section.
  5. Visit Du Digital ICAC: Visit the designated ICAC. The address and location will be mentioned in your appointment letter.
    Ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time.
  6. Submit Your Application: Submit all required documents for your application. Please note that if any required documents
    are missing, your application cannot be processed.

  7. Arrange an Interview with the Embassy (For Foreign Nationals):
    Interviews are held every Friday morning from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. ICAC will help schedule your interview
    at a time that is convenient for you.

  7. Three Recent Passport-Size Photographs: (2 inch x 2 inch)
  8. Two Official Documents for Identity Proof:
    (e.g., Driving License, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Ration Card, Electricity Bill)
  9. Copy of Confirmed Direct Flight Ticket from South Korea to India.
  10. Six Signatures on A4-size paper.
  11. In Case of Loss: Copy of the FIR or Police Report related to the lost passport.
