Driving License Certificate:

A Driving License Certificate is issued by the Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) in South Korea for Indian nationals who require certification of their Indian driving license for use in South Korea. This certificate serves as a verification of the validity and authenticity of the Indian driving license for conversion or other purposes as per South Korean regulations.

The applicant’s name and date of birth should be exactly the same in passport as well as in driving license. Damaged/paper driving license might be asked for renewal.

How To Apply

Create an Account: Register on the Du Digital Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website.

Book an Appointment: Schedule your visit to Du Digital ICAC by choosing a suitable date and time.

Prepare Your Documents: Carry your passport, photographs, and all supporting documents as listed in the Documents Checklist section.
Visit Du Digital ICAC: Visit the designated ICAC (as per your jurisdiction). The address and location will be mentioned in your appointment letter. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment time.
Submit Your Application: Submit all required documents for your application. Please note that if any required documents are missing, your application cannot be processed.

1. What is a Driver’s License Certificate?

9. Can I get the certificate if my Indian license has expired?

You may still apply, but issuance is subject to the Embassy’s discretion and successful verification with the RTO. An expired license may reduce the chances of approval.

10. Can someone else apply or collect the certificate on my behalf?

No. Personal appearance is mandatory for both application and collection due to document sensitivity.

11. Will this certificate serve as a driving permit in Korea?

No. This is only a verification document. You must still go through the Korean license conversion process as required by South Korean transport authorities.
